CELTIC, Central Gaul. Arverni. Circa 50-30 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 15 mm, 1.77 g, 12 h), Epadnactus. EPAD Draped bust of Roma to right, wearing crested helmet. Rev. Warrior standing front, head to left, holding signum in his right hand and spear and shield in his left. DT 3606. LT 3900. Rare and nicely toned. Very fine.

From a European collection, privately purchased from Boutin in the 1950s and reportedly from the J.-B.-A. Jarry Collection (1807-1876).
